Joie- A Guide to Joie & Fashion

Joie is a contemporary fashion line from Joie Rucker and Sean Barron.  Rucker spent years as a design head for both Levi's and Guess, so her roots are very much in activewear and sexy casuals.  Joie fashion has a lot in common with Guess, in particular, but with a signature blend of hippie and glamour.

There are many vintage elements to Joie clothing.  Crocheted detailing, ruffles, soft lace, and embroidery can be found on many of the women's tops.  In the more bohemian-style pieces, loose fits and flowing lines are made for comfort and a low-key earthy sex appeal.   Cameron Diaz and Sarah Jessica Parker have been spotted in Joie pieces around New York and LA.

On the other end of the spectrum, Joie offers pieces with a little more of a sexy urban feel.  Tanks with keyhole necks and tight jeans are popular choices to wear out on the town.  Artfully distressed details are designed to make it look like you could wear (and quite possibly have worn) the piece on all kinds of adventures.

Among their chic tops is the Choosey Lover top, made with soft Egyptian cotton.  Crocheted lace lines the V-neck collar, and the crossover design is reminiscent of that found on kimonos.  Those looking for a casual and sexy top may find that the Escape top fits the bill, pairing a sheer top with a drawstring waist and frayed short sleeves.  Bolder tops include the Us and Them tank top, with ruffled detailing on the top, matched with a keyhole design.
