Ever wonder why the prices have droped on this product?  I know why, now that I have one.  I have only put a little over an hour of video clips on it, and I have not been able to down load one segment on to my computer to be put on to a DVD.  JVC will try to help, but to no avail after several (4/5) phone calls to them and jumping through all the hoops.  And countless hours trying to make the software work on my own.  Still nothing to show the baby when she gets older.  Get the Pitcher.  Good luck, or buy something else.
