Out of all movies made today I always like the Duke, John Wayne's Western movies either DVD or Vhs movies the best.  John Wayne has always captured a special audience when he was making a film.  The few that I liked the most personally was True Grit, The Horse Soldier, Rio Brovo, Rio Lobo, The Undefeated.  Even Though there are not to many Westerns that are not being made by Hollywood in the present day, I always turn to the John Wayne Westerns for a good to great Western movie.
