THIS REVIEW COVERS THE BASICS OF THE JENNY CRAIG DIET.

I TRIED THE JENNY CRAIG DIET FOR 6 MONTHS AND LOST 53 POUNDS. FOR ME IT WAS THE ANSWER BUT ITS NOT FOR EVERYBODY. THE JENNY CRAIG DIET IS NOT AN ECONOMICAL DIET. THERE IS MEMBERSHIP FEES AND THE COST OF FOOD. BUT, FOR ME THAT WAS FINE BECAUSE I FELT MY HEALTH WAS WORTH IT. IN FACT, I WOULD SAY THE COST FACTOR ACTUALLY MOTIVATED ME MORE BECAUSE IT MADE ME MORE SERIOUS. YEAH, IT SOUNDS CRAZY BUT I ACTUALLY FELT LIKE I COULDN'T THROW AWAY ALL THIS MONEY I HAD INVESTED. TODAY I CAN SAY THAT JENNY WORKS AND THE COST WHEN MEASURED AGAINST HEALTH CARE COST AND COMPARED TO ALL THE MONEY I SPENT ON THE WRONG FOODS I WAS REALLY SAVING MYSELF AND MY MONEY. PLUS, JC TASTE BETTER THAN ANY DIET PILL!

THE DIET IS BASICALLY A PLANNED MENU OF JENNY CRAIG CUISINE.
DEFINITION OF JENNY CRAIG CUISINE: BASICALLY DRY OR FROZEN ENTREES MADE BY JENNY CRAIG, INC. THAT ARE SIMILAR TO LEAN CUISINES.

A TYPICAL 1200 CALORIE 1500 CALORIE DAY WILL CONSIST OF THE FOLLOWING:

BREAKFAST: 1- JC BANANA NUT CEREAL
                          1- FRUIT (ORANGE/BANDANA)
                          1- SERVING OF DAIRY (SOYMILK/MILK/YOGURT)
                          1- PROTEIN - (CHEESE/VEGGIE PATTI/1 SLICE OF LEAN DELI MEAT)

SNACK:           1 - JC ANYTIME BAR (VITAMIN PROTEIN BAR)

LUNCH:           1 - JC PIZZA
                          1 - VEGETABLE SERVING (SIDE SALAD)
                          1 - JC SALAD DRESSING

SNACK:            1 - FRUIT (WATERMELON/STRAWBERRIES)

DINNER:         1 - JC FISH & CHIPS
                          1- VEGETABLE SERVING (STEAMED BROCCOLI)

DESSERT:       1 - JC S MORES BAR

* NON-STARCHY VEGETABLES SUCH AS BROCCOLI, LETTUCE, ASPARAGUS, BELL PEPPERS, MUSHROOMS, ETC. ARE NOT MEASURED SO YOU CAN EAT AS MUCH AS YOU WANT OF THOSE EVEN THOUGH THE MENU SAYS ONE SERVING YOU CAN ACTUALLY HAVE 4 OR AS MAY AS YOU WOULD LIKE.

WATER - JC DIET RECOMMENDS 8 - 8OZ OF WATER DAILY

COST:  AVERAGE $11-$13 A DAY
(ONE DAY CONSIST OF 1 JC BREAKFAST, 1 - JC BAR, 1 JC LUNCH, 1 JC DINNER, & 1 JC DESSERT)

EXERCISE:  JC ENCOURAGES EXERCISE BUT UNDERSTANDS THAT SOMETIMES YOU CAN'T DUE TO YOUR SIZE. SO THEY TRY TO COMMENSURATE WITH YOUR WEIGHT.
