J.D. Robb is the pseudonym of the bestselling author Nora Roberts.

The main reason for creating J.D. Robb was the prolific quantity of
books Nora Roberts produced. With almost 100 published books by 1995, the
massive amount of titles still to be released grew at a steady pace.
Her publishers were reluctant to flood the market with new releases,
hence J.D. Robb was born. The initials are taken from her sons, Jason and
Dan, while Robb is a shortened form of Roberts.

Her popular “In Death” series is still growing at an average of 2 books
per year.
