There is a whole lot of fake "authentic" sellers on eBay. I have not been a eBay member long, but I have found a few things out in my short time.

1. If the bid is in GBP and not dollars then whatever it is is probably a fake.

2. If seller has a picture of the item and it looks professionally done then it might be a stock picture from the real seller. Check the item's serial number on the actual store site and if the store and the eBay seller have same picture then it is probably a fake.Ask seller to send you a picture of the actual item not a stock picture.

3. If the price seems to good to be true then it probably is. Gucci, Prada, ect. are high end items and would not sell new for a super low price.

4. Most brands Gucci, Prada, ect. don't sell their items in discounted bulk. The sellers who get items from warehouse sales are probably fakes.

5. Look at where item is located and ask yourself if the item is from a country where fake items are made. Remember that a lot of designer clothes come from Italy and fakes come from China, Mexico ect. so where the item is being shipped from can tell you if there is a chance that the item is fake.

6. What kind of feedback does the seller have? Look at the feedback before you bid. A seller with a high rating could still sell fakes. The most telling sign is a buyer leaving negative feedback questioning the item's authenticity. A 99.9% positive feedback could mean that they fooled 99.9% of the people.

7. How many of the same items are being sold by the seller. A sure sign the item is a fake is that the seller is selling a lot of the same items. Ex. the seller has 50 of the same item each with no reserve and a low starting bid price.

8. Does the new item come with tags? Just because the item has tags does not mean it is not fake. Items as well as tags can be fake.

9. What is the sellers return policy? If the seller has a small window of oppertunity to return item then it might be because seller does not want you to take time to see if the item is fake.

10. Take time to check wording of the item's description. I was about to bid on "Authentic silver Gucci cuff links" new in box with tags. In the description it stated that gucci name was attached and gucci was in parentheses. Seller had 99% positive feedback, but one of the negative ones claimed item was fake.

11. Don't bid unless you are sure the item you want is real. Once you bid then you enter into a legal contract with seller for item even if the item is fake. The contract made is binding by law and you could gent into trouble by not paying.

12. Quality of product once recieved is a sure fire way to tell if it is fake. Does it look cheap and use inferior materials in construction?Have you ever seen the real product made the same way? How is the stiching?

*****If you find a seller of fakes report them to eBay*****
