In my years as an eBay Seller the most asked question I received everytime I offer a machine is: " Is it a walking foot ?" Dear buyers, in industrial sewing machines every machine is capable of doing only one kind of stitch per machine. It is impossible to convert a regular straight machine into a walking foot, the mechanism is totally different. A walking foot is a walking foot, period. A coverstitch, an overlock, a blindstich, a chain stitch, a button hole, a button sew, a hemmer, etc.. will never be a walking foot. The easiest way to determine if a straight stitch or double needle is a walking foot is by looking at the feet of the sewing machine.
- Walking foot has two feet, inside and outside.
- Regular Sewing Machine has only one foot
I know there are several attachments for sewing machines, but these attachements are not made to replace the original purpose of a sewing machine. If you want professional results, do like the professional do and buy the correct machine for your job.
