In todays world it seems that everyone who provides a specialized
service has their had out for something extra, and wedding industry
professionals are no exception. I know you might be saying to
yourself " I am already spending an arm and a leg why would I give
more".
Maybe your thinking "Should I give more?". The answer to this question is yes and no, you see there are individuals who will provide services for your wedding that it is quite customary to give a gratuity to. Who are these people? well I am glad you asked, below is a list outlining to whom you should pay above their normal fees for a job well done.
1. Valet Parking Guests should tip those people who park their car and assist them to the door. The couple may also want to tip these individuals for their work for them and the wedding party.
2. Powder Room attendents, in venues that house this type of service it is customary to leave them a tip.
3. Limousine Driver, This individual should be given something extra as long as he provides superior service beyond that which is expected.
4. Wait Staff, as in any restuarant setting the men and women who service you during food and drinks should be tipped. This goes for bar staff as well
How much you should tip is always based on the level of service you receive, but please remember that many of these individuals depend on tipping as part of their income. Also if guests are already tipping on their own you may not find it necessary to tip as much.
