Hi everyone, my name is Ryan Christensen, owner of jewels-fine-minerals. I named the company after my oldest daughter Jeweliana, if anyone wondered.
The purpous of this guide is to shed some light on internet buying, I have read alot of articles lately on Internet Buying and most all have been negative, it is a little dissapointing to me because I think it is one of the best ways to see whats out there. I mean you can buy a mineral from across the US or World that you would have never seen or even known existed if it were not for the net. Maybe you see a specimen from Europe that would finally make your Calcite collection complete, thanks to the net. Just read the sellers return policies first.
There is alot of dealers out there who don't take pictures of every angle, nook and cranny, including me so I have no ground to stand on with the subject, which seems to be the biggest. But that brings me back to the return policy of the seller, just read up. When was the last time you went to a show and bought a specimen, got it home and said, wow I paid to much for this piece and it does not look as good as it did at the show, try to return it at the next show and see how that goes!!
There is alot of auction websites and Ebay dealers that don't accept returns under any situation, which it really bad for them let alone all net dealers. I accept returns under any situation and will always refund your money plus shipping both ways, there is alot of dealers out there who also do.
