Why do you need to purchase insurance?  Are you the BUYER? Notice in some ads "Insurance is optional, however, I am not responsible if damage or loss occurs if insurance is not purchased" ?  What do you do?  You click on purchase insurance.  If you have paid with PayPal, you have just clicked to insure the seller.  PayPal covers you, the buyer. If your purchase does not arrive, if it is damaged, or not as advertised, PayPal will refund YOU.  If you have paid with money order or check, better get the insurance.  If you are dealing with a "good" seller, he/she should also refund shipping item back to them if item has to be returned for damage or not as advertised.  If your package is shipped via FedEx, UPS, or DHL, you are already covered with insurance up to $100.00.  Additional insurance may be purchased.John Deere parts, arriving safely from my house to yours!!!

Are you the SELLER?  Make sure you add insurance to you shipping when shipping via USPS.  If not, YOU are the one not covered with insurance if the buyer pays with PayPal.  Proper packaging is required to get a refund from USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.  If you have not packaged correctly - no refund.  Anything breakable must be a box - within - a box.  Make sure there are no voids (empty pockets) in the box.  Make sure you have two inches of suitable packaging around the first box, before it goes into the second box.  Check on the USPS site for complete instructions.

Remember, when buying on Ebay, your best bet is to pay with PayPal.  You know your covered.
