IMPORTANT NOTE: In order for the plug-ins to work properly, you need to update the firmware of your device to a minimum 2.0.10. You can download the firmware (.aos file) from http://www.archos.com/support/support_tech/updates.html

  • Save the attached plug-in file
     Download the plug-in (aos extension) onto your desktop of your computer or any other folder. Keep the plug-in just in case you  need to re-install it at a later date.
  • Connect your Archos device to your computer
     Make sure your Archos has been set as PC hard drive mode, not windows media player mode. You can change this in Menu -> Settings -> System  (USB preference: PC Hard drive or PC
     hard Drive (auto-ARCLib)
)
     Connect the player to a computer as a USB device (Enable USB) using the ARCHOS USB cable, copy the update file to any folder on your archos player.
  • Activate the plug-in
     Safely disconnect your ARCHOS device from the computer by using the green disconnect arrow icon in the system tray and then unplug the USB cable.
     Navigate from the main screen, double click (or press OK button on your ARCHOS device) Files , until the folder where you put the plug-in file, highlight the file, press OK to run it.
     You will be prompted to re-plug the USB cable in order to power the device during the update process. The update process will take about one minute. Do not unplug the USB cable powering
     the device during the update as this could potentially damage your device.
  • If you have two plug-in files, repeat the above step for another plugin.
  • You may need to completely shutdown then restart to ensure plug-in to work properly.
  • After installation
     Go to Menu -> Settings-> Firmware and  Plug-ins, you should find the plug-ins just installed, which means the installation is successful.
