SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES
SIMPLE GUIDE FOR SHIPPING IN THE UNITED STATES
I have to say that selling on Ebay gives you a whole new way of seeing things when it comes to shipping and handling charges. When I was just buying on Ebay, I would think, man these shipping charges are so high. However, now I see the so called "Other Side"! Most customers are honest and you would not have any problem in the world sending their item through First Class Mail. However, you have some customers that will say they never received their package...So I have found out the best way to send customers their packages is using a source with a "Tracking Number"! Yes, it might cost just alittle more, really not that much, but you can TRACK your item and know about WHEN you will be RECEIVING it! When a customer purchases an item from me, I send them via email an Receipt with their Invoice Number, which has the Ebay Item, The Ebay Number of the Item so they can stay informed. When a Tracking Number is issued from our warehouse, I forward that to my customers! That way, the buyer and the seller can track the item! I like using Priority Mail, UPS or FedEx!
Examples:
Priority Mail (US): Flat-Rate Envelope $4.60; Flat Rate Box $8.95. Other rates are available up to 70 lbs and are based on weight, size, and distance. For example, a 5-lb package would cost approximately $6.30-$15.85
UPS Or FEDEX (US) - The below chart is a simple tool to go by to determine the charges! Shipping around this price range is reasonable!
Up to $30.00 (Retail) - $10.45
$30.01 - $39.99 (Retail) - $10.95
$40.00 - $54.99 (Retail) - $11.45
$55.00 - $74.99 (Retail) - $13.45
$75.00 - $99.99 (Retail) - $14.95
