Guide on Inflatable Pool Toy Collecting
Inflatable pool toy collecting is both rewarding and fun. It is in my opinion, one hobby that is worldwide, but not well known to most. The collecting process can be done year round on ebay (if you live in cold places), at local pool stores and shops, or at the beach.
The inflatable toys come in many types. These are inner tubes (swim rings), arm bands, ride-on, swim vest, balls, and air mats. They are all good, but most prefer one type over the other to collect. This is rewarding in that you have many different types to choose from.
When you collect, try to get at least 2 of each one you buy so you have backups if one breaks. Also, don't inflate them by mouth since air from our lungs is lightly acidic, use air pump. You can also store ones you don't want out in a compact area (not like other hobbies that rquire lots of storage space). Also, the toys value goes up every year it is still in great condition.
For repairs, I recomend using "Automotive GOOP". It is the best glue to use on pooltoys that have a seam split or hole. The glue doesn't damage the toy and doesn't get brittle like superglue; plus it is waterproof.
Also, you can find new and inventive ways to use the toys for different "LEGAL" purposes. I found out that swim rings can be good for monitoring your waist line, spill blocker for pants, and a cool fashion accessory to your everyday attire. Maybe you can find other cool ideas to use inflatable pool toys for, too.
I recomend this hobby for kids ages 5-12, teens 13-19, and all ages of adults.
Also, if you have any questions for me about inflatable pool toy collecting, please email me. I would like to help anyone get started in it if they need help doing so.
