The key to gain more traffic to you ebay auction is using good key word. Using the correct key words for the product listing that you are selling can mean the difference between making and not making a sale. Very few people looks for items on ebay by going directly to the category listing. It is easier for them to use the search engine. Using the search engine is the number one way of finding items on ebay. One of the key things you may not realize is that your items may have more that one name. All to often most product may have three different name. For example, Doctor who can be spelled as Dr. Who or Doctor who. Galactic Conquest 2 can be spelled Galactic Conquest 2, or Galactic Conquest II or even GC 2. People may fail to see your auction if you are missing on of the key ways to spell your product. Any product with numbers in the title is a bit harder to find because there is so many different ways to list them. Studying you competitors listing is a good way to find out what key words you should use. Also, carefully studying competitors website if they have one to can help greatly. No fantasy website program is need to study there listing or their website. Key words are easy enough to pick out by just reading the website or title of the auction listing. Copying some of your competitors key words in your auction title will insure you have increased traffic or at lease the equal amount. Sometimes using unrelated keywords can help increase traffic to your listing. Placing something that is unrelated in your title can help increase traffic. If Star Wars or Playstation is hot at the moment then I will sneak it in the title. Sometime you will get lucky and people will see your ad accidentally. They might take notice of something they might have not seen. Using one of the top ten ebay item in the type of your listing, even if it is unrelated can increase traffic.

Creating a website can also help you increase traffic to your auction. Just make sure there is a link to your ebay auction is on your homepage. Because most of the time people don't make it pass your homepage. Do not over load auction listing or website with gif or flash inserts. They slow down loading time of your listing and people will just avoid it complete because tons of net user are still using 56k modem. Some seller may say who cares about 56k user, they don't care if they go to there auction. If your thinking like that then your cheating yourself. That type of attitude will have you out of business in no time. By alienating part of the market you are cheating yourself out of a chance of a sale and increase profit. So do not try to not alienate people because your only hurting yourself in the long run.

Increasing traffic to your auction can be done by watching your competitor and learning from them the ins and outs. But don't become a stalker and start watching every time and every item they sell. Sooner or late you will have to stand on your own two feet. Use good related and unrelated keyword. Asking your competitor questions can also help sometime. But most of the time they will not answer if you are a competitor. Get an ebay store may increase traffic a little, but it is worthless if your not making enough money to keep it open. For new ebay users stores will just absorb the little profit that you manage to make. Over all this may increase traffic but it doesn't guarantee sells. Make sure that you are selling a good product and that there is a market for it. It also would hurt to write a few reviews if guides since they are link to your auction listings.
