Increase Traffic to Your Listings - It's Free and Easy
I have discovered 3 of the best avenues for bringing more traffic to my listings. I actually found them by accident. The best thing of all is that using these avenues is totally free! I realized that people were being driven to my listings through them by viewing my Traffic Report which I have as part of my eBay Store. The report is powered by Omniture.
This report contains a wealth of information regarding my store and individual listings. I can see how people find my items. The statistics there helped me to realize that approximately 20% of the visits to my listings come through my Guides, Reviews, and Blogs.
I began writing Guides and Reviews because I like being helpful. I have found many Guides and Reviews out there that helped me considerably, so I figured I would give back. I started Blogging for the same reason. What I found in Blog was more than I bargained for. I have met some truly amazing people there and enjoy sharing in that way. So, participating in these three activities is fun for me. I enjoy it. So, to me, it is a bonus that these things drive people to my listings.
Understand, I am not heavy into self-promoting. In fact, it makes me rather uncomfortable. There are many people who use their Blog to advertise their items. That is good for them. I, however, do not. Yet, I get visits and bids from Bloggers.
I guess it is the natural curiosity of people to want to find out more about the people behind the things they read. I know that I will visit someone's listings based on the impression they have made on me via their written words. So, it's easy to see how Reviews and Guides play into this, too.
So, what are you waiting for. Vote on the helpfulness of this guide, then go write a Guide, write a Review, and start your own Blog now!
Thanks for taking the time to read my guide!
