Really adhesive paper notes are not all icky. When 3M developed post it notes Shazam the entire world changed. People no longer had to search for tape ( another product 3M is famous for) to attach grocery lists to the fridge. With Post It notes, the notes stuck by themselves.

Being a Post-It note junkie, I jumped at the opportunity to get offer 3M post it notes on our

website. As a matter a fact this was great for business. Often a client that only orders embroidered caps sees that we off personalized 3M post it notes and walla,

we get a happy client, and a new order to boot.

Now along comes the Icky Stickys. Recently, there have been several knock off sticky note pads to arrive on the market. This seems good to the consumer right, competition results in lower prices. In this case this is true, the prices on these imitation pads are lower. As may be expected however, you get what you pay for. Most of these imposter adhesive notes fall off the refrigerator the first time you go for the milk. Can you imagine how easy it is to find your "important" phone message, after the cleaning crew sucks it into their industrial vacuum because it fell of the file cabinet.

Ok, enough about the knock off adhesive papers. Just keep in Mind 3M is the only company that offers Post-It brand notes. I recommend that you accept no imitations. Buyer beware.

Now, the final dilemma. Recently, some websites selling knock of stick notes have started a kind of false advertising. There ads will say something like 24 cent post it notes. Well guess what, they are not selling post it notes at all. To make matters worse you have to order 10,000 of the smallest size product they offer to get that price. Very few businesses are going to order that many note pads, as a matter of fact the average order is going to be more like 500-1000 pads.

Guess what, the price is higher than .24/each for such an order, even with the no name product.

Here is our confession. These false advertisers have confused the whole market. As a matter of fact, clients that used to find us on the internet first, now are often lured to these sites.

In response, we feel we have no choice but to play by those rules. Some of our listings now say

as low as .18/each etc... While this is true, if you order a large quantity of custom decorated Post-It notes in a small pad you can get this price.

How can we live with ourselves you may ask. This is a good question. We are trying to beat these goofs at their own game. We are trying on a test basis, to see if showing the low price

will drive corporate clients to us. If so, I assure you, we will educate them about the various adhesive pads on the market, and quickly apologize and explain why they can not get the

.18 a pad price on a smaller order.

For now, at least the cheap knocks offs are not offering the special shaped post it notes.
