Greetings to all.  And, thank you for looking at my guide.  I am a fairly new ebayer.  I both sell and buy.  I am also that person who is always looking for a good deal.  I shop often for last minute deals and have purchased everything from clothing to hypnosis CDs.

In selling one thing I have learned in my limited experience is that the customer is always right.  I try to practice that in my worklife as well.  I believe it should be as such in business.  And, honesty is also key.  I would rather lose money and have a satisfied customer rather than money in my pocket and a unhappy buyer.

Now, about my topic.  I am a bit of a dreamer, or gullible in my family and friends' words.  I fell for a "get rich quick scam."  I am writing this to save others from the same fate.  There are quite a few valid ebooks and professional items on ebay.  And, sometimes it is hard to differentiate good buys from scams.  But, as my grandmother used to say, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.   If anyone is promising you investment advice, or a get rich quick plan, ask questions.  I an ebook with promises that it would make me millions.  And, I began to picture myself lounging in Hawaii during long cold winters.  I would devote my newly found freetime and money to charity.  I got caught up in a scam and lose sight of the reality.

The sellers were a couple of young girls who had no noted experience, just a claim on some secret investment information.  Now, reality check, I wouldn't invest in a stock unless I read the company profile.  And, I wouldn't bet on a horse unless I saw him race.  So, why would I pay over 20 dollars for a purported ticket to wealth?  In short, stupidity.  So, be careful.  Not everyone on ebay is honest.  They basically promised other "gifts" if they received certain positive feedback.  So, sometimes a feedback forum will not reveal a scam.

What I have learned is to ask questions before I buy.  It is also not a bad idea in the "surprise" items to ask prior buyers about their experience.  Next time for me.  But, I hope I have helped others by revealing my own mistakes.  I love shopping ebay and there are some great honest charitable people on this site.  Just be careful out there.  And, to all a good night.

p.s., there is no lunch thing as a free lunch.  Breakfast maybe.  But, lunch and dinner are rarely if ever for free.  And, before you buy that get rich scheme.  Ask yourself, how many people do you know who got rich off from investment advice found on ebay.  Good Luck to all and happy bidding!
