RG450
Being the lowest class of the RG series that were actually made in Japan; most popluar are the RG450EX and the RG450LTD, LTD is pretty rare to find nowadays, but RG450s are still easy to get one in decent shape. Price range often to be in $300 - $450, sometime for some special color ones, up to $500 or more. Since the RG450 is made in Japan, compare the to RG350. It makes more sense to choose RG450 over RG350, simply because the RG450 would have more future value. RG450 sounds much better than the RG350, sounds like a classic rock n' roll guitar, from the classic V7, S1, V8 pickups, as well as build quality.
If you saw one looks new, and has no problems, under $500, you can pretty much pay as much as you can afford or comfortable, you are not over paying.
If the one you see has some dings, scratches, but no eletrical problmes, $350 - $450 would be a reasonable offer.
If the one you see has lot of problems, dings, scratches...and if you know about some basic guitar repair, wiring, get it under $200, then get some parts, and do the job yourself. Generally, after the restoration, you can make approximately 10% - 25% return.
When you are looking at RG450, there is a very good chance that you would run into the mighty RG550, which I am going to talk about that in the next pricing guide. Thank you for reading. Good luck.
