LEARNING INTERNET ACRONYMS

Internet Lingo (Language,) has became a part of our everyday writings in just about everything we do. Its frustrating to see an Acronym and not understand what it means. I have a very good friend who I started ending emails with WBS soon she couldn't stand it and asked what it meant, With Burned Sausage is now a running joke lol...WBS means Write Back Soon.

We have all been there and wondered (What The???) when seeing a strange set of letters, either in a chat room or blog group. Internet Jargon is now moving into the Gemstone World as well...I will give you the basics and, please, feel free to email me questions or jargon I may have missed. I will start with the most used.

lol or LOL is simply (Laugh Out Loud) it replaces the old haha.

Mine Run:   This is suppose to mean ungraded rock but I have yet to meet a miner that didn't High Grade his rocks. I mean think about it...These lots of (Ungraded Emeralds etc...) don't buy into that nonsense. If you are looking for true mine run then the only fair way to get it is pay for a dig and make sure that you get all the rock without the miner making any exceptions...
It has been my experience that mine run lots is mostly a way to get rid of lower grade rocks by taking a few and throwing in a couple keepers and medioca rocks and calling it mine run!!!
