Hello eBay Members!

I have been shopping and selling at eBay and I have learned some things that I want to share with you.

Bidding is fun when we wait for the last minute to type the maximum bid and click on the mouse to snip the item but usually is not funny when you find a terrible seller, like the one that retaliated me with a Negative feedback because he said UPS delivered the item to a different address other than mine, so I left Negative but he was expecting to get Positive, thanks God he shipped my item Via UPS which after 3 months of waiting for my money and calling him almost everyday I got my money back

When looking for an item, I have read some descriptions that States; "I will not be responsible for lost or damage if you do not buy insurance for your item." Let me tell you something,  paying for Insurance will not save your item from being damaged or broken, the Insurance works only if your item is lost in transit, in the case that the item is broken or damaged during transportation the shipping carriers will not pay anything if they find out that the item was poorly packaged.

Being said that, I want to suggest you to buy insurance for your eBay purchases in the following cases:

1._ If you do not trust the seller buy insurance and pay with Paypal

2._ If the item you are buying is Fragile or breakable

3._ If the item is worth a considerable amount of money and you would not be willing to loose such amount that easy.

4._ The area you live at, is not very secure or the item might be left unnatended.

5._ If you are using the US Postal Service Insurance is highly recommended

You may also request a delivery confirmation which cost about $2.00 but you will have peace of mind knowing that your item will not be left sitting at the porsche.

UPS cover your item with Insurance for up to $100.00, if your item cost more than that, you may ask the seller if you have to pay an additional amount for Insurance.

In my particular case as a seller, when using UPS, Insurance is on me up to the total amount you pay for your item, this way we both are protected.

When you choose the US Postal Service I suggest you to buy insurance in case of lost only, as a seller I always make sure that every item is very well packed so it will not be broken or damaged during shipping.
