I have the Instyler and was so excited when I got that I started to use it right away.
It does take a little practice like anything new. You need to make sure that you have the rotating barrel going the right way when you are using it. I did get a small burn on my finger the first time I used it, But I think it is Great.
I only towel dryed my hair and used it to dry and straighten my hair working as a multi hair tool which saved me the time of drying and ironing my hair. If you follow the directions section your hair off before you start and make sure you use a heat styling spray on-leave in conditioner it does save time. If you are a novice at styling your hair do not give up you will get it .
Make sure you set the Instyler heat for the type of hair you have. I have the Rapid heat up which has a computor chip in it-how cool is that! But be careful it does get hot but still does not use as much heat as regular irons. It is the rotaing barrel with the brush-you DO NOT need to use a lot of force or you will flatten your brush.
You do need to leave your hair if it is wet for a few seconds in the the rotating barrel. To curl your hair it just takes a little practice of doing that flip to curl by leaving it a few more secondes on the end of the hair while flipping up. Make sure that you use the Heat resistant carrying case as a place to set it on while you are using it.
But it is true with practice what they say. If you can hold it you can do it. I Love it!!!
