When I received a little extra from a seller I was always pleased, whether it was a pen, a little magnet, or something that was probably worth no more than a dollar. But it was the little something extra, that extra effort, that kept me checking that seller's items.

Lately, I have been including that something extra. A walk around the house has turned up so many white elephant items, and fees would preclude my trying to sell them unless I was able to bundle for "lots".

I included a sunflower print apron in a pitcher. The thank you note was profuse and overflowing with praise. It made my day!

I have just wrapped a doll in a pair of receiving blankets (on sale at 2 for 1.00). She'll get all the bubble wrap and bubbles inside her original box, and the buyer will get a little note of appreciation from me along with those blankets. She's bought once before and I think she will be back.

What seems like such a little thing may bring a smile to someone's face. And ebay is such a great place to be able to do that. No matter how small the item, it can be special to someone.

When looking for items for that church garage sale, set aside those things that you know would only bring a bare minimum amount for charity . . . think ebay and thank your buyers!
