Lately we have been cautioned as BUYERS, to a rash of Jet-Ski-Scams, BUT I WAS USED AS A SELLER...Last July, while I was listing a few items to sell, all of a sudden all kinds of alien listings began to appear under my Ebay seller site!!! 43 Jetskis, Sea-Doos, Kubotas, Yamahas, etc. were now showing as if I were selling them!!!! As you can  imagine , I was ready to have a heart attack !!!! I tried to cancel them but they were coming in faster than I could type!!!!  I live in  Pa. and these were showing "Item Location" as Chicago. They were all ONE DAY listings at $1,000.00 each. I immediately contacted Ebay Security Center and actually was connected to a chat on-line with a very helpful person from Ebay. Within a few minutes all the listings disappeared from my site. My Ebay fees (which were pumped up to over $500.00 )were corrected and removed by Ebay, too. But the bad news is that I had to change ALL my passwords with Ebay, Paypal, Verizon, and my Bank, before  I was able to use my Ebay seller account again.!!!!! What a pain. THEN...I thought I'd do a little detective work on my own....so I typed in, under SEARCH,  the exact names and descriptions of those fake listings , and guess what ?.. UNBELIEVABLE!...There they were already relisted and disguised under some other unaware and unassuming Ebay seller's name. This older gentleman had no idea what was going on. So again I got on the Safe Harbor Chat and this time  someone from  that department ACTUALLY CALLED ME!!! That's right! EBAY CALLED ME!! I was very impressed. I explained how I found these  illegal items under another person's name. Ebay's representative thanked me and removed them again, for the other seller. WHAT A FIASCO! . I really enjoy  Ebay and can honestly say that they were very swift in their help, both online and IN PERSON. I hope this never happens to you, but if it does, rest assured that it will turn out OK.( The one picture above is the list of 43  items removed, sent to me in an email from Ebay.The other one is me on a Jet Ski ,yeah right) I hope my experience that I have shared with you is helpful, if so please vote YES below.
