Since the Xbox is the most powerful of the last generation systems you can find some of the best looking games of that time on the Big Black Box. The Xbox may have seen some mediocre sales (only 40 million sold since launch in 2001) you can still get some pretty sweet visuals out of Microsoft's first powerhouse. Below are 5 games that really showed off the Xbox in order of graphical achievement.
1.
Halo 2 - I'm sure you've heard of Halo and you probably own this game, but if you don't you're really missing out. While it is one of the most overrated games ever to exist there's no denying it's impact on the online multiplayer community and FPS fans. Halo 2 really pushed the Xbox with excellent lighting, high res textures, models, and more polygons than you can shake a stick at. This game would have put the other systems too it's knees, but the Xbox stood tall. Grab your Needler and finish the fight...well until you reach that terrible cliffhanger ending.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay - Whether you like the Riddick movies or not Butcher Bay really pushed the Xbox hard with it's amazing AI and real time lighting. The game is really short, but you'll really feel like you're in a movie thanks to Vin Diesel's excellent voice work and lifelike character models. Every FPS fan should look at this game because it's one hell of a ride.

3.
Doom 3 - Most people have already played Doom sooner or later in their gaming lives. Whether it was the 16 bit classic or even Doom 3 on the PC you'll love it on the Xbox. This is more for people who don't have the computer to run this system hog so those people who can just play it on there. While the Xbox version doesn't look nearly as good as the PC version it does push the Xbox to it's dire limits. This game may not look too hot now-a-days but back in the day it amazing everyone. Doom 3 provides excellent scares and keeps a press on the non stop action. Silly story aside you can still have tons of fun with the 4 player online component. If you can snap the Limited Collerctor's Edition you'll be able to play the classic Doom games as well. Also, don't forget to pick up the expansion Resurrection of Evil.

4.
Forza Motorsport - For those of you who don't have an Xbox 360 yet you should look no further than Forza Motorsport for your need for speed. While it does take simulation elements and mixes them with arcade elements it works and is a happy medium for fans of both types. The game musters excellent realistic looking cars(this came out around when Gran Turismo 4 did for the PS2) tracks, and physics. While the Xbox does lack good racing wheels you can still play everything with the controller just fine.

5.
Ninja Gaiden: Black - If you love ninjas, action adventure games, or just plain kicking butt you'll have a blast with Ninja Gaiden. Black features the games downloadable add on packs along with updated graphics, and an easier difficulty. Everyone knows Ninja Gaiden is notorious for it's insane unforgiving difficult, but people who strayed from the original can now play knowing you will still have a working Xbox after you're done playing. Everyone waiting for Ninja Gaiden II (or a price drop) should pick this gem up.
