To whom it may concern:
I must state that the purchase of your deilling machine with the 6.5 HP engine saved me about $15,000.00.
I was planning to have a water well dug and started to research the possibility of drilling my own and ran across the Hydra-Jett. A few months ago I was covinced that Hydra-Jett had the best machine for the money.
I did not have any experience in water well drilling and was able to drill 75 feet with a good water supply. This was the first week, and the second week I drilled a water well for my mother 65 feet. The third week I rented my machine to another person for the cost of the machine (smile) got my money back. His well is 85 feet. Thanks to Tim and Charlott I am making a few dollars from thier technical support and of course the Hydra-Jett machine.
I really like the ease of operating this machine. I did not encounter any problem when I assembled the Hydra-Jett frame. The set-up was a little difficult because I was not into digging holes (smile) I learned fast.
Story: The first well I attempted I lost a stem and drill bit while removing the stems from the well. I went into panic called Tim and he took good care of me . He told me to relax, he sent me another drill bit (thanks Tim).
Called Charlott one day and she told me how to attach the drill bit to the stem (you see my knowledge was limited). And we talked about colors in the soil and how they may change during drilling. She explained that I should apply heavy grease to the stems.
I made two changes to my set-up, when you dig your pits, off set the trench from pit one to pit two, this allows the cuttings from the drilling to hit something and settle before it goes into the second pit which limits the amount of cuttings re-entering the well. And after the lost stems I attached a safety latch to the frame, (no more lost stems).
By the way, I do not drill wells, I rent the machinery and teach the renter how to use the machine.
I am going to try to email you some pictures. The pictures enclosed is one of my co-workers explaining to the renter what is about to happen and how it's done. Look closely and you might see the safety clamp on the guide plate.
I am a retired RN that never dreamed of digging my own well and renting my machine for a nice profit.
Time to go to work, Have a good one,
James Sirls
