I have just read the previous writer's guide and it is now clear that I have been searching for something that doesn't exist!  I have an old (probably 6 years old) Husqvarna Viking Rose machine with an old Embroidery Card Reader Writer which takes the programmable cards; it isn't even a USB edition but rather it is tied in to the printer.

I have recently upgraded to Windows XP and bam, my previously working programmable embroidery system no longer works.  I have searched and searched for something that can make the link back to XP but without success, and now I think I know why.

I'm afraid that I can't offer any words of advice to anyone except beware if you are working on the 'old stuff' quite happily - don't upgrade your computer as your embroidery system won't work any longer.

Unless anyone out there can offer any advice?
