noblevendor's bargain boutiquePurchasing a Hummel on line is often a bit unnerving, be sure to check certain information before buying. Is the figure/plate backstamped with the official Hummel stamp? Does it come in original box with certificate of authenticity? If you are buying just as a decorative accent these things may not be as important but to a collector these are vital! Be sure to always read or ask for the dimensions, the size does matter. In some cases, the smaller figure is more valuable then the larger, or the reverse. Often there are the original figures and then later "inspired" editions, both are treasures but be sure you are purchasing the one you want! I would want to know if this is from a personal collection or if the item is brand new. Hummels will range in price from a few dollars to hundreds, each one is a work of art & will be sure to inspire.
