eBay's Digital Delivery Feature
and
How To Retrieve your Items.

Introduction - eBay's Digital Delivery Feature
If
you sell a lot of digital items on eBay (MP3's, Software, eBooks, etc.)
you are probably already familiar with eBay's Digital Delivery Feature.
This wonderful feature allows you to direct your customer to a link to
download their item immediately following payment by Paypal. You get
paid instantly and your customer receives their item instantly!
In my opinion, this is huge improvement over delivering digital items via email where all sorts of problems could arise.
As I've said, the Digital Delivery feature is a great option for us digital sellers, but it is not without a few problems. It is still a relatively new feature and it is also not available on some of the other worldwide eBay Sites, therefore a lot of buyers are not aware of it. If you only use digital delivery and your customers are expecting their item in an email, that could be a problem.
I myself have received numerous emails from my customers inquiring where the item they purchased was. I've decided to take a few minutes to put together a guide that should help those who are new to eBay or those who haven't used digital delivery yet. This guide is for those buyers who have purchased a digital delivery item and have not been able to locate it. I hope you find this guide helpful and I welcome any comments or suggestions you may have on how to improve it or what you would like to see in future guides.
Retrieving your Digital Item
For those
of you who are unsure if the item you purchased came with digital
delivery, there are a couple ways to figure out. First of all, the
search page will have the words “digital delivery” in place of where
the shipping costs usually are.
If you purchase an item with digital delivery, you should be directed to a download page immediately after payment. If you miss this page or you get an error message, don't worry you can still access your item. You will need to go to the“My eBay” page and click on the “Won” link to download your item.
Under the items won list, there is a drop down box under “Action.” If you click on this drop down box, there is an option to “View Digital Delivery.” Click on this link and you will be able to download your item.
That's It! You should be able to download the item you purchased. If you have any problems, I recommend contacting the seller and asking for their assistance. I hope you have found this guide informative and if you have any other questions about digital delivery, don't hesitate to ask!
I wish you all the best!
