With Mini Blind Murals it is very simple to turn your window into a work of art that adds beauty and greater privacy to any room and can be done in 4 simple steps.

First of all...What is a Mini Blind Mural?

An authentic Mini Blind Mural is a landscape or seascape mural painted onto a Mini Blind.  We use acrylic paint and a combination of airbrush and hand painting techniques on one inch light filtering vinyl mini blinds.  Each one takes days to create and is custom made to fit your window.  No two will be exactly alike.  It is a work of art, our canvas is a mini blind.

The Mini Blind Mural also adds greater privacy then a plain white mini blind.  Turn on all the light in your room and walk outside.  You can see the silhouette of the people in that room and all that they are doing.  It is like living in a fishbowl.  With a Mini Blind Mural the view from outside is a reverse and muted view of the painting.

Step 1.   Choosing a design. This is the actually the hardest part of turning your window into a work of art because there are so many designs to choose from.

People choose their design for a variety of reasons, it is very personal.

I change mine with the seasons.  I do this because, like so many Floridians I am a transplanted New Yorker.  I miss the obvious change of seasons.  Autumn or fall is my favorite season.  I miss the pumpkin farms, apple picking, the chill in the air, and the excitement of the up coming holidays.  Most of all I miss the changing of the leaves.  That is why I have Autumn Hills in my living room and Autumn lakes in my kitchen.

We have had quite a few orders come from New York City.  One customer was a computer graphics designer who worked from home.  The view from the window in his work area was a red brick wall.  He ordered the Woodland Deer Mini Blind Mural because it reminded him of home.

A customer in California ordered the Flower Falls Mini Blind Mural for her meditation room.  She wanted to create the feeling of being in a serene woodland area listening to the soothing sounds of the waterfall.

A customer in Canada ordered 7 of the Riverview Mini Blind Mural for her screened in back porch in order to create the illusion of living in a palatial waterfront estate.

Once you discover what is important to you in a design, you find the right one.  Remember, if the right design has the wrong color scheme for your room we can make small changes to make it work for you.

We have added butterflies, changed the tower and flower colors and altered the skyline colors to the Princess Castle Mini Blind Mural in order for it better coordinate  with the bedroom of a customers 1 year old granddaughter.

Step 2.  Measure your window.  Once your design is chosen you need to measure you window to see what size you need to order.

All you need to do this is your handy dandy tape measure, some thing to write with and something to write on.

I always recommend using an inside mount due to its cleaner look.  It adds to the illusion that the painting is actually the view from your window.

Inside mount measuring :

Width: Measure the width where the brackets will be placed. Check the width at the top, middle and bottom. Use the smallest measurement.  It will likely be an even measurement such as 47 inches or 32 inches.  If you come up with 47 1/2 or 32  1/4 check again.  The tape measure must be flat (not bent) in order to obtain an accurate measurement.

Length: Measure the length from the top of the interior to the window sill. At least 1 inch of flat surface is needed at the top and 1 3/8 at the bottom.  It will likely be an even measurement such as 64 inches or 72 inches.  If you come up with 64 1/2 or 72  1/4 check again.  The tape measure must be flat (not bent) in order to obtain an accurate measurement.

Once you have your measurements all you need to do locate the design and size in our ebay store www.miniblindmurals.com.

These are the size groups:

24-30 wide X up to 64 inches long is the size you order if your window width measures anywhere between 24 and 30 inches wide and the length is 64 inches or less.

31-36 inches wide X up to 64 inches long is the size you order if your window width measures anywhere between 31 and 36 inches wide and the length is 64 inches or less.

37-42 inches wide X up to 64 inches long is the size you order if your window width measures anywhere between 37 and 42 inches wide and the length is 64 inches or less.

43-52 inches wide X up to 64 inches long is the size you order if your window width measures anywhere between 43 and 52 inches wide and the length is 64 inches or less.

52-72 inches wide X up to 72 inches long is the largest size we offer and is the size you want to order if your window width measure between 52 and 72 inches wide and the length is 72 inches or less.

Step 3.  Place your order.

Placing the order is only slightly different then purchasing anything else on ebay.  The only difference is that when you pay with Paypal you need to include your window measurements and the size you want your Mini Blind Mural to be in the note to seller section as well as any special requests.

Step 4.  Hang your Mini Blind Mural and enjoy!
