Well! it is raining today. So i am fixing hockey equipment for my grandchildren.

I know guys it is bad luck, to wash or handle in anyway the equipment. But somebody as to do it.

Now, i am missing the skates. Skates are very important. Make sure you have a good fit on your feet, your feet are the most important part of your body in this game, make sure that your skates are well sharpen.

The rest of the equipment need attention. You will need some oil or special soap to treat the equipment so it will not crack, with a soft wet cloth spread the soap on the pads and wipe. If you see any holes in one of your glove or pad have it fix, so the holes will not get any bigger.

The left hand, if you are right handed, is the one that will have the most hit on it from the puck. make sure that the padding is not broken inside, if it is, you can open it and change the padding for new one, far less expensive then buying a new one. Since you open the glove, or goalie padded glove, when you close it, instead of just sewing it, put a zipper on the side of the pad up to the top, the padding may break again and this time the only thing you have to do is, open the zipper and put new padding in and close the zipper.

The goalie leg pads, now this one have a lot of hit. The picture is the tip of the goalie leg pads. What i do is, i put a piece of leather on each tips, because it is always dragging the ice. the puck hits it, and the tip of your skate cuts it. adding a piece of leather will protect the pads from being badly damage.

Your head, the side up from your feet"LOL"put a good helmet on and protect your brain from being smash inside your skull

Good luck to every body that loves the game. Play safe. And by the way this is suppose to be my living room, you guys. Have fun. i will have fun watching the game. chow.
