Hi friends,
Do you want to start investing your money in basketball cards. Well it is never too late. I am an experience card collector for over 5 years. I will briefly tell you how to start collecting basketball cards and all the tips I've learned over the years. I will also include a list of the best basketball players at the current moment to start collecting basketball cards from.
Here is how I start my hobby:
When I was a boy I played baskebtall everyday. My hero was Michael Jordan. I stopped liking him after he played for the Wizard. However, I wanted to make money by collecting basketball cards from great players and sell them back to my friends. In high school I was very successful trading and selling cards to my friends. However, I had a hard time finding great basketball cards like Tmac's BGS 10 or Kobe's Auto #1/6. I decided to use ebay to start collecting these rare cards. My biggest mistake was I start out buying cards that are not very high demand. I bought basketball cards from rookie players and held them for too long. Some of those players stopped playing or did not continue. I lost a lot of money from buying cards from basketball players who did not have potential to be stars. I learned to do a lot of research before I invest in a basketball players by buying high valued cards. I checked out the stats of all the players weekly to see their improvement and I checked out their team record. I noticed that when a player scored a lot of points his cards will automaticly go up. Also, if his team did well then his cards also went up. In addition, I found a lot of rare cards for sell on ebay when a player did well. I had bought thousand of cards. I had lost a lot of money, but I also learned to invest smarter than before. Right now I am the owner of 2 Tmac's BGS 10 Finest Refrac., 4 BGS 10 Finest, Kobe Auto #1/6 w/ Jason Richardson, Tmac Auto RC BGS 9 #1/1, Kobe Topps Chrome RC BGS 9, and a lot of other great cards.
Here are a list of the basketball players that I think you should start investing money in:
1. Kobe Bryant! 2. Lebron James (wait till he's injured) 3. Tracy Mcgrady (his cards are extremely undervalued because his team is not doing so well. However, I believe the Rockets will be in the playoff.) 4. Vince Carter (Remember Vince Carter was the Lebron James for a while? His cards went down alot because he got injured. Don't wait on this guy!) 5. Chris Bosh (Can you believe how well he's been playing?) 6. Gilbert Arenas (however, I don't think he can get any better.) 7. Allen Iverson (Tt's very good that he lost to Kobe Bryant in the scoring race because now it's great for investor). 8. Elton Brand ( the MVP for the first 20 games). Good luck with your investment. Do the research!
