As I stated in my "About Me" page my procedure is to: (1) Identify fraud auctions, (2) Inform the seller their account has been hacked, (3) Inform eBay of the violation, (4) Inform the hacker they have been reported, (5) Periodically report the collection of email addresses used to commit this fraud, (6) Harass the hackers as much as possible.

This guide is mainly written around #4 and #6.  Now obviously, reporting the hijacked accounts to eBay and getting them removed as quickly as possible is the primary goal and the number one way to piss off the scammers.

But here's where my approach may differ from others you'll read and I'm sure is not "officially" condoned by eBay (At least not  publicly).  I feel that since these are criminals we are deal with who are out to steal your money... and since they seem to think they are smarter than all of us (Trust me, they have written to tell me so).  I feel no guilt in going out of my way to inform these hackers that they have been identified and reported.  The free ride is over and they are being watched.  As a matter of fact, I make an effort to harass them while their scam auctions are still running.  I do this by sending them notes with subject lines that appear to be an interested party... It forces them to open each one just to be sure.  No... this will not stop them... the only way to stop them is to get people to stop giving up their personal information.  But for sure, it frustrates them a lot.  I know this by the hate email I get from them... as a matter of fact I will post some if I have it saved.

So if you come accross one of these scam auctions... and the email address used in the description is on my "BAD" email list (see my other guide for the list) then feel free to ask them questions... ask LOTS of questions... lot of DUMB questions.  If they have to spend their day answering mail and in the end get no money to show for it... they will eventually move on (to other forms of crime, no doubt).

Below is just a sample of some of the replies I get after telling them their scam auction has been reported. I have cleaned them up a bit, but you get the idea.  As you read down you will sense a pattern.  lol
