In last few days I was talking with different people here from on eBay's blog and groups about postage, packing, starting prices and so. I would like to show how do I pack my photographs when I am sending them. I try to make as best as I can. I have experience myself with packages coming to me, so I know what one can expect from postal services.

I will put this as one of my guides, but images there are very small. I will use bigger  images here.

I am using packing material which is rather expensive, I pay 3 euro ($4) for one piece. It has a huge advantage that photograph is protected from each side with multiple layer of very think golf carton.



You can see that space in the middle. There photo in protective enveloped will be placed.



The following picture shows how envelop with image is placed between top and bottom carton.



Than left and right side of the golf carton packing is flipped and making extra cover.



I use wide tape to tape all edges and corners. Same tape is used to cover address papers to protect them from humidity or other mechanical damage. You can see on following picture layer of golf carton covering image from all sides.



I use big tape with text FRAGILE to express the nature of the shipment, as you can see on next picture.



This way packed photo is protected very well, it is also very sturdy.

I hope this illustrate quite well that I really do care about packing and that buyer shouldn't be afraid of any damages in a normal and even hard handling of the package.
