I have turned my whole house around from what use to be primitive country to cottage chic by planning it out and shopping on Ebay. Its easy, fun affordable and pretty! First I planned what I wanted to do, I wanted clean crisp pastel colors with roses roses roses! I took my oak table, chairs and old cabinet outside, washed them, let them dry and painted them all white! (Its great if you have a paint sprayer, goes quick) I then painted all my cabinets white and the walls a very soft butter yellow. Cleaned the floor very well and I was ready to decorate it! The first thing I did was find a shabby chic chandelier, does'nt have to be a fancy one, spray paint it white, shop on ebay for some shades or make your own! Once that was done I started looking on ebay for rose curtains..there are thousands! I looked and looked until I found the perfect ones! From there I looked for vintage matching table clothes, assorted ones so I could change them. I took my old canisters outside and spray painted them white and added rose decals for canisters that I purchased from Ebay. Then the  rose china plate hunt was on..there are many many on ebay so it was'nt hard. I found matching colors of different style plates and before I knew it, I had a whole collection..you can hang them, set them put them anywhere! I found an old shelf, painted it white, distressed it and filled it with rose cups and saucers from ebay. Old white chippy shutters in the windows, mine don't really fit, but still look great! Place mats off ebay, floral arrangement with roses, old white chippy cast iron items, a few pink rose prints framed and a few of the great handpainted items our wonderful Ebay artist design and sell and my kitchen was great! I'm still adding things from ebay, but let me say..I'm a single mom and this was very affordable to do, all you need is an idea and a bit of time!
