Step One: Finding Out What People Want

The first step to making money is finding something people like to buy. Some popular things are electronics, collectables, maybe even car parts. As we all know, eBay is like heaven when it comes to buying these types of things.

An easy way to find out what people like is to have a survey. Dont just survey friends and family, make a real survey and hand it out right outside your nearest super market, clothes store, or even your local church. If you have a website, puting a survey right up there is a great idea too! Online survey is personaly my favorite because of its ease.

After we compile a list of things people love, its time to get to business.

Step Two: Gettin' Da Goods

Now we know what to get. It's time to head to eBay! Ebay has many things for low prices, but here we are not looking for low prices. We're looking for value. Does the product people want come in a bundle? Maybe some people will pay good money to get the main item alone un-bundled. Or maybe its not something that goes lower in value if its used. It all depends on the outcome of your survey. What we need to do now is do a search for the things people wanted.

Lets say they wanted a new DVD player. Go and look for DVD players on eBay. Im sure there will be a lot, but we're looking for something else. Find anyone with an eBay store that is strictly for electronics, or even better, DVD players. These are the kinds of people that can sell them to you real cheap. You see, stores get their merchandise from wholsalers that you may not have access to, or ordered directly from the manufacture.

Also, another key to look for is people who got there stuff as a gift and hate it, so they decided to make some money off it. These people are great because they dont care about the price, its just about getting rid of that item for them.

Now you have an idea about the prices. Dont go telling people you can get them a DVD player for a dollar just yet. Millions of people sell on eBay, and millions of people sell for different prices. You can see something one second, and then find that same item an hour later ten times more exspensive. Just see the prices of products that people like, and watch them on your "MY EBAY" section.

Step Three: Finding people

Great. You found some cheap stuff and are ready to sell. Now you must find people to buy from you. Tell people you sell stuff cheap or hand out a flyer. When someone in your community decides to buy something from you, just go to eBay and look for that product using the techniques I explained above, an you are bound to find something. Buy that item after you customer assured you that they are buying that product, then make your purchase. Now sell it to your customer for a lower price than the retail value, but more expensive from what you bought it for. Now both people are happy.

After yor first sale, your original customer will tell his/her friends and family, and eventualy the whole community will know you!

Tips

Try your hardest to sell things to your friends at first. The reason for this is that if your customer is a close friend, he/she will definatly come back again. Also, your friend will tell your other friends and all your friends will buy from you. After you have gained trust, head out to the whole community.

Another important tip is to NEVER tell anyone how you get your merchandise. If they ask just say you have a special source. By telling them you buy off eBay, you will lose business. Of course, if you think about it, eBay isnt losing business because by not telling your friends, you buy twice as much. Evens it out huh?

Why Other People Cant Make Money Like You Do

Well, my explanation for this is simple. Other people dont know the techinques. Although its easy to find stuff cheap, only you know how to ALWAYS find stuff cheap, and find out what people like easily. If others tried, its likely that they will buy something and end up not selling it.
