This guide is to try to teach simple origami. I will be giving you step by step instructions on how to make this in text. I am sorry I cannot add pictures and I am sorry if it is too confusing because of that. Don't give it a not helpful grade if that is the case. I really can't help the no pics. rule. Anyway here we go.
1. First off you will need a square peice of paper. Any other shapes will alter the turnout and you would not be able to make a lot of the folds.
2. With your square paper, look at it like a diamond and fold it in half top to bottom.
3. Unfold
4. Now keeping it like a diamond, move the top and the bottom flap to the center fold.
5. Fold it in half top to bottom.
6. Now it should look like some kind of sailboat with no sail or mast. Make sure the short length part is facing you.
7. Then, make a fold from right to left.
8. Unfold
9. Now, on the right of the fold, take the lower point and fold it to the top of the center fold.
10. Following? Still on the right, take the far right point (there are two, one in the middle, one on the top) in the middle and fold it to the upper fold of the middle.
11. Now take the top far right point and fold it to the top of the fold you just made.
12. I hope you're following. Now turn it over.
13. Repeat steps 9 to 11.
14. Now it should be taking shape. To lock the tails, which is what the folds were, take the front tail and move it behind the other.
15. Wala! Your fish should be complete! Just decorate it now.

I hope this guide was good and that you made it succesfully. Following text to make origami is hard, and I applaude you if you make it succesfully. If you want picture step-by-step instructions, email me. I have them ready! Email me if you completed them and send a picture if you want or need help finishing it. Anyone who is wondering, I just simply like to make origami and I will be making more guides on how to make more later on when I have free time. Have fun and thank you for reading!
