People try to find peace and joy in things of this world. If you put your standard of joy in the things that you can get in this world, you will always be on an emotional rollercoaster. The things of this world will change and always disappoint you. Because the things of this world are always temperary.

The only way yo will find lasting joy is through the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If you put your standard of joy in Jesus, He won't disappoint you. He is consistant and steady. So if you put your joy meter on what God has to offer, you won't go wrong.

Now does that mean you will never be disappointed? No. We are selfish people. We mess things up all of the time, and so we will mess God's plan fo rour life up. But if we will rest assured that He knows what is best for us, even though we don't always get what we want we can still find joy in Jesus Christ because He always wants what is best for us at this time. He will give us contentment and peace if we trust Him to do what we cannot.

Then we must trust Jesus Christ as our Saviour so we can have confidence that some day when it is time for us to meet God, we will be ready. The Bible says that God gave us His word so that we could know that we have eternal life. Not hope so, but know so.
