Ebay is great when you're looking for something too unusual for just any store to have.
Ebay gets even better when you find the unusual item and it's free
How do you find freebies on Ebay?
Just type in Freebie, Free or buy-it-now in your search and then the fun begins
I know I always give a Freebie or two with buy-it-now and I also know that other sellers do this as well. It's all part of marketing your items and building a good customer base. Think about it if you could get your item and a freebie for the same price as another seller has it, wouldn't you buy it with the freebie?
One thing to watch out for is the shipping fee some sellers make up for the Freebie by charging more on shipping. So always check the sh&h before you buy.
Another way to find free items besides the buy-it-now is going straight to the seller's store. A lot of sellers will give out extras to get you into their store.
Also you can try signing up for the sellers newsletters. That way every week or so you know who's having the sales and give aways and who isn't. I always try to have a buy one get one free or half price sale every two to three weeks.
Look for lots that are in stores or fixed price. Sellers sometimes just want to get rid of overage and they'll put extra items in with your purchase.
