How to fix a noisy guitar volume pot / potentiometer
Noisy pots are no fun. The good news is, it's pretty easy to fix this.
Open up the electronics cavity, and carefully spray that pot with a little "DeOxit". If the problem persists, then change the pot. Be sure to note the correct Ohm setting when buying a replacement pot. If your guitar has humbuckers, it is probably 500k Ohm. If single coils, then probably 250k Ohm.
Good Luck!
