So who hasn't heard of the fantastic make-up that covers redness and blemishes with the flick of a powder brush? It's called bareMinerals and yes, it does live up to the hype.
I decided to dive headfirst into the bareMinerals craze and see what everyone was talking about. After researching online to see how I could get the "best bang for my buck", I would recommend this same course of action for those of you purchasing this brand for the first time.
1. Research eBay sellers - Read their comments too! Although a score might be high - the buyer marked the seller as "Positive" but commented that the item took forever to be shipped. Be aware.
2. Determine your bareMinerals color - I thought I would be categorized as a medium, until I went into the local store that sold this line. I found that I was, in actuality, a light. So with that knowledge under my belt, I was able to buy online and not go through the annoying returning hassle.
3. Purchase the Starter Kit - The Starter Kit comes with three applicator brushes (flawless face, handy buki, and max coverage concealer), two shades of bareMinerals foundation, one Mineral Veil, and two shades of bareMinerals face color. Since the price is lower than purchasing every individual item seperately, it definitely gets you on your way to great skin a lot cheaper!
4. Watch the DVD - The DVD that comes with the starter kit gives you tips and tricks of the trade. But more than that, it introduced some of the eye and lip colors in the line. Then, you can find what you really like (and will use) and go from there!
For those of you who haven't heard of the bareMinerals line, it is makeup so pure, you can sleep in it. Since 1976, Bare Escentuals has been breaking all the rules about makeup with the introduction of the revolutionary bareMinerals foundation. Made with crushed minerals from the earth, 100% pure bareMinerals are free of preservatives, talc, oil, fragrance, dyes, and other chemicals that can irritate skin. It is makeup that works with skin, not against it.
I will not be going back to a liquid foundation ever again. I have blemishes, discolored skin and redness galore and bareMinerals covers it completely! I never thought a loose powder could do the job of a liquid but I was proven wrong. My skin now looks like a porcelain baby doll and I'll never buy anything else.
