This year I decided to write a guide on how to decorate a nursary on a budget since I am in love with interior design and HGTV I thought it would be a good start.
First prepare your budget how much you want to spend on the whole nursary is very important !!
Research websites for themes colors and designs if you are having a girl you may chose a pink if it is aboy a blue or you may want a unisex room yellow tan and green work good for this.
Another good way to find your colors is to look for your bedding and curtains first that way you can play around with the colors in them for the rest of the room. For example a sun moon and stars room
I found a beautiful comforter crib set on Ebay for way below market price it was brand new but I saved about one hundred dollars from retail. The colors inside it were yellow blue tan and a green. I went with a curtain set that is green with stars that had all of the colors of the comforter in it I found this on ebay for a low cost as well.
Because the comforter had so many color choices I chose two shades of yellow for the wall. One dark and one light and I painted it myself which saved loads in painting costs. I purchased the paint on the shelf half the price of what you would pay if you got it mixed right at the counter.
I also bought a chair rail kit, a fan, and a crown molding kit. I had these done by a close family member and it saved me hundreds of dollars.
I purchased the baby furniture right after the holiday for 30 percent off plus and additional 10 percent by opening a credit card which I paid off as soon as it came so I did not recieve any of the credit card fees. My chair was purchased at the baby store on clearance as well. Once a month you can find great chairs on clearance marked down from half the price of the regular chairs. The whole room came out beautiful and I saved a bundle !! And with the cost of babies today we can all use all the help we can get !!
Good Luck !! And Happy Baby Shopping !!
