Hello,  The absolute best way to clip any dogs toenails, is to Sit down,  call your dog over, have them get in your lap.  Reassure them everything is ok,  Lay them on their backs across your legs, rub their tummys, and grab a paw.   Your dogs nails are split down the middle,  you will be able to see where the Nail ends and the quick begins,  Clip right above the quick,  Then let you dog know how good he was and rub his tummy again.  It only takes once or twice, and he will love you for it.    If you get into the quick.   Use alittle bit of baby powder with corn starch on the end, and it will clot off the bleeding.   Thanks, God Bless
