Cleaning biro marks off plastic and vinyl dolls.

Modern dolls such as Baby Born, Barbie etc., sometimes come into one's possession with texta, biro etc marks on them.  With a little TLC give them a new lease of life.

Materials: Nifty cleanser, Baby Oil, toothbrush, cotton buds, cotton balls plastic hair brush, clean rags and most importantly (and I kid you not) Oxy-10 (teenager's skin treatment cream).

Start by applying a heavy coat of Oxy-10 on to marks and put doll aside for one week.  Although be careful and check up if plastic is the soft kind and has blush on face as these may need shorter time to work as colour may also come off and defeat the purpose.  Wipe with damp cloth and if stain is still visible repeat.

General cleaning of doll:

Soak a piece of cleaning towelling in nifty and rb all over doll that is mark free and also using soft toothbrush dip in nifty and clean in the crevices around toes, fingers, nostrils.  For the eyes very gently use the cotton buds dipped in the Nifty.

That extra something:

Baby oil.  Pour a couple of mls (1/2 teaspoon) on cotton ball and gently rub into all part of doll to impart a sheen and wipe off excess.

First time suggest you try out on a truly wrecked doll to get th feel of how long to use Oxy-10 and also see how this cleaning works.
