This guide are for those who have bid and won an online etopps card. These are not in-hand cards that are sent to you in the mail. Instead this is intended for online storage and can be accessed through the etopps website.
There are two steps to obtaining an online etopps card:
1. After the seller of the card receives your payment, the seller will log into their etopps account and use the pull-down menus on the home page to transfer or release the card from their online portfolio.
2. This action triggers an email from etopps to the buyer (you), stating that you can now claim your etopps card. I recommend reading the instructions in this email. The gist of the email states that you will now need to log into your etopps account to claim the card. Once you do this, place your mouse over the My Etopps pull down menu. Down comes the menu. Choose the My Ebay Auctions and from here, choose Buying. Etopps will take you to a new page that lists the card awaiting to be claimed, gives the status of the card (Awaiting Claim), the time and date of the close of the auction and the quantity of the card you bought. Click the Submit button. Voila!
If you bought a card without having an etopps account, no problem...
Registering is easy. All you need to do is provide your credit card number just to prove you are at least 18 years of age. You're not obliged to buy any cards at IPO (see my other etopps reviews for an explanation of this). The only time your credit card would be used is the purchase of cards from the etopps website at IPO or for payment of having the card delivered. I've had my credit card on file with etopps for more than four years and I've never had a problem.
