There are so many Portable Auto GPS systems available right now.  The category increases each year.

Many now have XM Radio, Traffic, Bluetooth  and weather. 

First of all how many of those features do you want?  Once you decide you need to check out subscription costs.  They start at $12.95 a month on up depending on what you want.  

As far as Bluetooth is concerned, make sure you have a phone that is bluetooth and make sure it is compatable and shows on the Manufactures list. Otherwise you are wasting money getting a GPS with this feature.  I assure you these features drive up the cost!

The price of the GPS determines the features.  You can get a nice basic color GPS for around $250 on up.  But if you choose one with all of the features listed above they start at around $599 on up.  (not counting subscription fees).

Take time to investigate the services offered with your GPS like XM, traffic etc.  Are you going to use them?  Do you want to pay the subscription fee each month?

This helps to narrow your search.  So answer these questions for yourself right now and as you look at the GPS units available right now you can choose based on your needs.
