Choosing the right Tempur-Pedic Pillow is a personal thing
Tempur-Pedic offers a large variety of pillows, and an even larger array of sizes among them. Looking through the catalog can be quite daunting, especially if you have never seen or used anything other than a standard pillow.
My reccomendation would be - Do not buy your Tempur-Pedic pillows on line. Go to a store where you can actually see and feel them. Most dealers will let you lie on the pillow, scrunch it up a little, and whatever it takes to make sure the one you choose is the right fit for you. A good dealer will also give you from 14 to 30 days to exchange the pillow if it does not work for you.
Choosing a pillow is a personal thing. Here is my take on several of Tempur-Pedic's most popular pillows.
- Symphony Pillow. This is my favorite. It is a nice thick pillow, bevelled on both sides. It feels like a regular pillow, is soft, and you can scrunch it real easy. This is a great choice for anyone who doesn't like the neck pillows
- Neck Pillow. This is that funny looking pillow with the raised half circle on one side. It is also called a contour pillow. Tempur-Pedic makes it in a variety of fabrics and sizes. Some are softer - some are firmer. The sizes are regular, and queen size. And, both come in small - medium - large - x-large. See the sizing guide on the box to get the size that is right for you. Another great thing about the neck pillow is: It helps prevent snoring, and helps to control sinus problems.
- Side Pillow. This pillow has a notch cut in the center for your neck. It is specifically designed to help side sleepers, but also works well if you sleep on your back. It comes in regular, and mediusm sizes, but with out all the other sizing issues the neck pillow has. Also, like the neck pillow, it helps with snoring, and sinus issues.
- Comfort Pillow. This is similar to a regular pillow, but made from memory foam. It comes in a variety of sizes, and is a good choice for someone uncomfortable with the specialty pillows.
There are other pillows. The Rhapsody, and Grand among them. But, the ones listed above are the most popular.
As to why you should use a Tempur-Pedic pillow - It comes down to: Support. The memory foam allows your head to sink down just so far, and then it puts your neck in perfect alignment. No more waking up with a cramped or sore neck.
Pricing is somewhat scary for most people. Most cost from $99.00, up to $145.00 - with the more expensive Rhapsody and Grand, easily running $250.00 or more.
