Don't throw away those old baby clothes-sell them on Ebay! Are you giving your clothes away because every single outfit has a stain? Get those stubborn stains out and make extra money reselling your used baby and toddler clothes.First thing first, when you purchase your new clothing make sure to WASH it first! Most people are not aware clothing is most likely treated with chemicals to protect it in the warehouse.A proper washing will protect your child from any reactions or skin allergies. The second step is determining a detergent.I prefer All free and clear or Tide-free.You do not have to spend the extra money to purchase a baby detergent(unless you have to have that smell!),in fact The free detergents have less ingredients than the specially formulated baby detergents.Next ,determine based on your budget how many outfits you will need.A baby tends to go through several outfits a day,so determine how many times a week you would like to do laundry. Now the important part, the stains. If your laundry day is only going to be once a week, find a paste-type pre-treatment(which can stay up to a week on the clothes,or chose a spray detergent if you will wash more often. For stubborn stains, try oxi-clean and boiling water or zout(some mothers swear by this). Now we will go to specific baby stains: FORMULA STAINS:on white clothes-Apply undiluted lemon juice and set in sunlight.on color clothing:Pretreat with paste made of meat tenderizer and water.Wash as usual. VOMIT STAINS:Treat immediately if possible!Hold clothing uder running water, stain side down and flush.Make a paste of borax and water to spread over stain.Soak in saltwater. URINE STAINS:Rinse with water, make sure to keep fabric wet until washing.Make a paste of water and dry fabric bleach(if colored, make sure it is color-safe bleach) , let this sit for an hour or so.Soak in a bowl of very hot saltwater. BABY FOOD STAINS: Soak fabric in vinegar and wash as usual. GRASS STAINS:Dab on white vinegar, spot with detergent then wash. Now that you know the tricks, you will be able to sell those used outfits on Ebay and have enough money in your pocket to pay for the next size up!Thank you for reading my guide, I hope you find these tips useful!
