Every new parent often wonders how to calm a newborn baby or help get your baby to sleep (and stay asleep), including myself. I'm a new mom of a 2 month old baby boy and while my son is relatively an easy baby, I still have those sleepless nights. I have found, however, that the Cloud B Sleep Sheep & Friends collection does really help in calming my son and getting him to sleep and stay asleep much of the time. During my pregnancy, I was reading all the baby/parenting magazines and kept seeing Cloud B advertisements promoting their Cloud B Sleep Sheep & Friends collection. I decided to get the Twilight Turtle for one of my nieces and she loved it! So I was ever so eager for my own son to be born so I could adorn his room with some of these fun, educational toys/sleep aids. My two month old is a relatively easy baby, but sometimes it's hard to get him to stay asleep during the day. I am currently using the Cloud B Dozy Dolphin, which produces 4 different White Noises that do help calm him and let him sleep. We use it ALL the time and I really love the sounds of the dolphin and ocean. Sometimes when I'm nursing my fussy son, I turn the Dozy Dolphin on and he is more relaxed..it even relaxes me to the point where we're both falling asleep! The other Cloud B products that produce White Noise, which is defined as an acoustical or electrical noise of which the intensity is the same at all frequencies within a given band, are the Sleep Sheep and the Gentle Giraffe.
I also have the Twilight Turtle as well for my son and have used it many times at night to help him get back to sleep. He LOVES to look at the colorful stars shining on the ceiling. It keeps him occupied and calm until he eventually gets tired and learns to fall asleep by himself, which is great for parents to have your baby fall asleep on their own. The Twilight Turtle projects 3 different colors. One of my nieces now has the Twilight Sea Turtle, which, in addition to the 3 colored lights and constellations (stars) that it projects, it also has light up animals on it's shell.
And for all those concerned with being more "Green", one other thing that I really like about the Sleep Sheep & Friends collection is that a portion of the proceeds goes to Conservation International.
