Since my dad started Shoetime almost 8 years ago I have always thought it was important to help the customer to get a shoe that works for them.  I have bought clothes, bedding, and games on ebay numerous times. My scare was always will I be happy with this purchase.  How do I know how to buy a item on ebay? Well I know about shoes!!!  I hope this little bit info will help you buy shoes. My main objective is to tell everyone to make sure the seller they are buying from has a return policy and they read it.

1. Make Sure the eBay Seller has a RETURN Policy: Read the fine print. Look for the return policy don't assume everyone has one.

2. What to look for: So I found a site by the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons that really gave details to look for. Did you know that 9 out of 10 women's foot deformities are because your shoe are too tight!! 7 out of 10 women have some type of foot problem. Most of us say our feet hurt!!

A: Try the shoes on at the end of the  day because of swelling

   B. Make sure the heel fits as well as the toe.

   C. So just because you  wear a 8 do not assume that is always true.  Brands vary in sizes. I have found that Nikes run small and Steve Madden run large. So a  brand or style may vary in size. Again make sure the seller has a RETURN POLICY!!

3. Look in the local Store: Don't hesitate to try on shoes at one of the local stores. Then hit the net to find a great deal for them. Ebay is the best place to buy shoes. With over 172,000 pair at any given time you should have no problem. REMEMBER LOOK FOR A RETURN POLICY!!

4. Shop for the larger foot:
If your feet are different sizes, buy a shoe that best fits the larger foot. If you need, buy an insole to fill space in the other shoe. Another option we are seeing more of is a shoe called nearmates.  A pair of nearmate shoes there is a size difference in the shoes. The difference is approx. 1/16" which is very little, and most peoples feet run a little different

5. Don't think a shoe will 'break-in.': This is a common misconception that shoes should be purchased snug so they can break-in. Wrong! Shoes should fit when you buy them. So that means read the return policy VERY carefully!!! If you are not happy you can return them but please try them on on carpet and not a night on the town to see if they will work out.
