Alot of auctions are now appearing requring the buyer to email the seller. The auction will state something on the lines of
I can't for some reason receive email from ask a seller now send me an email here
Please send me an email to discuss shipping terms the buy it now price is blah blah please email or I will cancel your bid.
These scams work by offering a well known and highly desirable product for cheaper then what they would normally sell for in an attempt you to rush into buying the product. They are always scams ALWAYS!
1) There is absolutely no reason why you can't recieve email from ask a seller now.
2) If they were a genuine seller the buy it now option would be on the auction.
3) The will always ask you to use Western Union and will make up some rubbish excuse as to why they want to use it and not PayPal.
4) If you agree to their terms, you have made the purcahse and payment outside of eBay's control and they will not be able to help you.
5) There will be no evidence of your sale and there will be no evidence of you payment.
6) Even if you did get your money back (which you won't) you will incur a £15 admin fee (~$33)
